There are numerous good books on tracking to get you started. One that
is old and good is Tom Brown's Field Guide to Nature Observation and
Tracking, first published 1986 and still in print. Borrow it through a
local public library; if the library doesn't have it, ask about using
interlibrary loan (ILL).
To find a tracking clinic near you, keep an eye on the websites of SAR
units in your area.
