MANTRACKING Programs in 2008
Yes, we do have a spring advanced tracking class set for May the 3rd, "Saturday" from 8-5pm, in Tatum, TX. At the Tatum Police Department, they are planning a hog roast with all the trimmings. This class is accredited through East Texas Police Academy in Kilgore, TX. And there will be eight ( 8 ) TCLEOSE credit hours for Officers in the State of Texas. Please contact the main office (903)983-8663 or register via e-mail through the ETPA website at _www.easttexaspoliceacademy.org_ (http://www.easttexaspoliceacademy.org) . - the tuition for the class is $10 Our objectives will be to teach in detail the effect that ants and other insects have on the forensics of a track that is time dated. We will also be examining three mock graves that will be dug up by wild animals; hogs, coyotes, etc. Five to six days prior to the tracking date we will have buried frozen chickens in human clothing. In prior advanced classes this has proved to be very effective in helping to identify a shallow grave in East Texas where we have literally thousands of wild hogs and quite often the evidence is completely eaten
or carried off and buried in another location by animals. I have found in the past when looking for evidence that many mounted search and rescue personnel simply ride past a depression in the ground or around a lake and mark it off as just another hog wallow. We will also be examining children tracks and the stories those tracks will tell. We will have experts on hand with their equipment and animals to discuss horseback tracking and packing, K-9 specialists, underwater sonar specialists, heat seeking airborne equipment specialists and GPS specialists. As an instructor for these TCLEOSE classes, and a tracker of 40 Years, I will do my best to teach Law Officers and others attending these courses how to find our "old" when they've wandered away, And our "babies" when they've been carried away. And those
intent in violating our good America and her freedoms. W. Wayne Bare 903 312 7907 cell
