I know of no commercial riding helmet that qualifies as a
western (US western) style. The style requires a full brim.
Some polo helmets come close (sorry, those of you bored by
my mentioning polo), and many polo helmets can be ordered
in a variety of custom colors and patterns, hard surface or
fabric or leather cover. But to my knowledge polo helmet
designs generally are not tested to the ASTM standard. It
is a test standard, which means it defines a specific method
of testing the integrity of the helmet. There are several
test standards in use or development that are specific to
polo helmets.
The usual approach is to make a western style helmet cover.
Buy a soft felt, leather, or straw hat in a size not quite
large enough to go over the helmet, soak the hat in water,
and let it dry on the helmet.
