Brrr...I'm glad I don't live in Pennsylvania!My garlic is under a foot of snow, so it's OK. I can't raise onions in the winter here; they rot when they thaw out in the spring. You might want to cover the garlic, but I've left mine uncovered and unmulched all winter before and it's done fine.
It should be single digits here in the morning...the forcast is for
about 9 degrees officially for tomorrow and 7 for Friday morning. We
can count on it being 5-6 degrees colder, so I'll be around 0-3 degrees
over the next few days. Should I cover the garlic and onions in my
raised beds? It will be okay, won't it?
