Fencing is something of which I have thought a lot. On my ideal homestead
(I'm still planning and thinking), I think fencing will cost significantly
more than my housing. I plan to build very simply.
But, the best fencing, done properly, could do a lot of my work for me. I
remeber too many times as a younster helping farmer's kids chase 'got-away'
pigs, cows , etc. back out of the woods. Plus the proper fencing woulsd keep
the predators at bay; and the wrong animals from being around gardens and
fruit trees. Why did your fence cost so much? Is it high-tensile or what ?

Last year I spent $25,000 to have my whole property fenced...it was either
do that or get out of farming....I'm still not sure I made the right choice.
