Gee James, I thought we had about 7 million people! James and I live near
the 5th largest city in the state and it has only about 65,000 people.

Many of us in our graves is what it would take. The country is not set up
on
an electoral college basis for nothing. My state has scarcely 5 million
people. In a popular vote, we might as well not even participate.
California,
NY, Fla, and a few other states would always choose the president and to
their
own advantage. Popular vote would be an exceedeingly bad thing.

That does not encourage me. Better would be voters, especially 18 yo's, to
cast their votes complety 'sange-froid'. Nearly every Obama supporter
I've
talked to (not absolutely all, but almost) bubble over with the change for
the
sake of changing the changes, oh boy, bright new world .... isn't all this
enthusiasm great!?
No. It isn't. When asked about what specifically they hope an Obama
administration will address, they don't know. We just know that those
other guys are
... well .... bad, you know.
I'd prefer the colder blooded 18 yo who is demonstrating more than a party
atmosphere at the polls.
