We have a submersible pump, so actually the well house

install a second pump/tank to be able to carry water to
the far side of our property?
You can put several pressure tanks on your existing water main and then run pipes as far as the pressure will take the water. More pressure tanks actually make life easier on water pumps; they don't cycle on and off so often.
