I once did this exercise, but I sort of cheated. I counted similar
items together. 3 changes of clothes per person I counted as 1 item.
If I didn't, the in order for us to be clothed and eat a meal (not cook,
not groom, just sit clothed and eat) would be 77 items. There are 7 of
us, so one undies, socks, shirt, pants, shoes, cup, bowl, plate, knife,
fork, and spoon for each is 77. Doing this, I only got up to about 50
items. I didn't know if it 100 items per person or per household.
Obviously the larger household will need more per person items, but
fewer per household items. So I kind of combined.
