Roy, does your kitchen participation extend beyond build and repair?
Are you allowed--say, for sous chefing--to actually participate in
food preparation? If so, and if, as I suspect, you are substantially
taller than the Moon midget, consider a prep sink in a counter that is
of a height comfortable for you. I built this kitchen before 5-3 Chris
became my wife, and made the counter top 38.5 inches tall. When I
build the dream kitchen, she will have a lower counter for when she is
allowed to do prep work.
Memory flash: I calculated for a one-and-a-half-inch plank floor over
the plywood. Somehow that never happened and we walk on linoleum only.
But I find the counter-top height to be comfortable. Haven't measured
myself recently; I used to be 5-11 1/4, gravity has no doubt lowered
the number.
