Some things seem better when you can only get them in a limited
season, but I don't think having good tomatoes for, say, 9 months of
the year (or even 12) would be a deterrent to enjoyment.
Interesting critters, we humans. Who among us does not look forward
to the first vine-ripened tomato of the season? How will we know if
that fine pleasure will be diminished until we have year-round fruit?
