Every time I draw on the computer I swear it will be the last time.
But once in the computer I can make very precise measurements without
having to calculate.
For homestead projects, we use a simple little program called Delta Cad.
It was one of those $10 programs back in early days of software on CD.
We may have even gotten it in with some other software as a freebie.
It's a cheapo, but allows us to draw out plans to scale and from that we
can make a materials list.
I just did a search on it, http://www.deltacad.com/
and see that it's now $40, but it is still a good little program that
even I can use and we have gotten our money's worth from it. Every
homestead project we have done, right down to garden planning, has been
at least a draft on DCAD.
