"Liberalism", (socialism), pleads upon your weaknesses, so that you will
eventually "buckle" under their demands. It seemingly works for many, but
NOT me!!
I knew I was being too simplistic.
I am an independent cuss. Of the two choices: theocracy and socialism, I
prefer the latter. Yes, they are not two sides of the social coin. The
Middle East is currently the most noticeable of social systems controlled
by religious leaders. Scares hell out of me. One reason why Bush scares
hell out of me is he gets his direction direct from his god. Universal
health care makes sense to me--because it is cheaper and because a country
will be stronger if its people are healthier. Also out of jail. Also out of
poverty. I have social ideas that would go a long way to solving those two
problems. After these items, I prefer less socialism than most. But I do
take note from time to time that socialized systems in Europe are scored
higher in quality of life than our system. I find that both saddening and
embarrassing.
