Thanks, Old Testament Quotations in the New Testament. I see an edition published by Wipf and Stock, so presumably a reprint of an older volume (ah, yes, first published by Moody Press, 1983). Hebrew and Greek as you said.John

Chirichigno (his first name escapes me) also published a book similar to it. The Archer/Chirichigno includes Hebrew and Greek text, while as I recall the UBS one is all in English (i.e. translations). Also, one goes in OT order and the other goes in NT order, but I can't remember which is which and I haven't unpacked my books from the last move yet.
Dear John,The UBS4, UBS 3, NA27, etc, have lists that show from whence the quotations in the OT are in the NT. I would highly recommend Beale and Carson's, Commentary on the NEW Testament Use of the Old Testament, Grand Rapids: Baker Academic, 2007. It would answer a lot of the questions on this issue. Furthermore, the LXX was the "Bible" of the Jewish Diaspora. Thus, it made sense for Paul, Peter, et al to quote to Greek speaking believers.Unfortunately, I have not read Tessa Rejak's book.Rev.
