has been updated to build 22.0 . The new build features OpenOffice text
(ODT) files; text and PDF file improvements. The Hebrew text is unchanged.
The OpenDocument Format (OASIS OpenDocument Format v1.2) provides a
non-proprietary, full-featured, cross-platform representation of paged
documents. OpenDocument Text (ODT) files (.odt extension) are editable
by the free OpenOffice.org Writer. ODT files for complete Tanach books
or for specific text selections are available. In addition, a server,
ODTServer, delivers ODT files with user-selected formatting. See the
<http://www.tanach.us/Tanach.xml#ODTFiles> page for details.
Internet Explorer 8 won't download ODT files correctly.
Please use another browser, i.e. Firefox, or wait for Internet
Explorer 9 to be officially released.
Text files can be obtained with user-specified Layout and Content for
specific text citations as well as complete books. A server, TextServer,
delivers text files with user-selected formatting. See the
<http://www.tanach.us/Tanach.xml#TextFiles> page for details.
The rendering of PDF files has been substantially improved. PDF files
are now derived from ODT files by OpenOffice.org Writer on a Windows
operating system for better rendering.
HTML server has been renamed to HTMLServer. Its former name, Server,
continues to be valid. See the <http://www.tanach.us/Tanach.xml#Servers>
page for general information about the 4 Tanach servers: TextServer,
HTMLServer, XMLServer, ODTServer.
Please report any anomalies so they can be repaired quickly.
