I see the verb יתקפו as containing the two personal pronouns היא - הוא
יתקפו = היא-תקף-הוא
with the first marking the attacker (whoever he is), and the second designating the lonesome person ( האחד ) being bothered.
In any event, the root TQP appears to me to be a variant of ZQP, 'erect'. Also of שקף and שכב
