Hi Karl,
So what is the litmus test of "standard international English". And how
do you know you speak it, rather than you speak you own English dialect?
You accuse too quickly, accusing of avoiding when others see it as
merely not addressing an irrelevancy or that the question has already
been addressed elsewhere, so no need to repeat oneself.
It's hardly irrelevant since a) it is language evidence you were
requesting; and b) it is language evidence which cuts strongly against
the position that semantics is uncancellable meaning. By not treating it
makes it appear that you just write it off so that you can just maintain
your own position without modification.
Regards,
David Kummerow.
