Subject: [b-hebrew] idea to deal with crackpot ideas
Date: Sun, 2 Dec 2007 00:03:07 +0000
When someone sends a crackpot idea to b-hebrew members, people who respond
could change the subject by adding "crackpot idea:" in front of the subject,
then scholars and others would know to avoid the email. This way a lot of the
irritating discussions could be reduced for scholars who don't like them. I
don't know if "crackpot idea :" is allowed. Maybe something less insulting
like "non-scholarly idea:" before the subject would help. Or maybe "mental
torture alert:"
Some of the irritating emails would get through to scholars, but maybe not as
many.
