Also, in my recent research into the final -h as a m.l. I came across the
following:
Khan, Geoffrey, "The orthography of Karaite Hebrew Bible manuscripts
in Arabic transcription" Journal of Semitic Studies 38/1 (1993), p. 49-70.
I didn't have time to look into this deeply, but it seems like an additional
interesting and perhaps so far relatively little known source of information.
