The above theory is apparently related to:
http://www.cherokeenationmexico.com/
and: http://www.museumofhoaxes.com/hoax/weblog/permalink/bat_creek_stone/
While various sites note that the "chief diety" of the Cherokee is
"Yo-wah or Ye-ho-waah"
this chief diety is curiously absent from "Myths of the Cherokee", a
document from the
1890s: http://www.sacred-texts.com/nam/cher/motc/index.htm This document does
have reference to other dieties which are mentioned in some other
sites about the
Cherokee religion, such as:
http://www.sacred-texts.com/nam/cher/motc/index.htm
It appears to me that "Yo-wah" or "Ye-ho-waah" is the work of some missionary.
