Subject: [b-hebrew] Web statistics of the Unicode/XML Tanach
Date: Wed, 19 Jan 2005 08:12:09 -0500
A survey of the operating systems and browsers of people interested in
biblical Hebrew can be approximated by examining the web statistics of
the Unicode/XML Tanach. Results from a trial version of "WebLog Expert"
are available at:
Note: the extension is htm NOT html! They're self-explanatory, I hope.
The relevant data is under the "Browsers" tag, Browsers and Operating
Systems The time period is from 24 Oct 2004 to 18 Jan 2005, about 3
months.
The statistics include persons with inadequate browsers who "hit" the
site with inadequate browsers and go away disappointed. The results
detected that viewers were having problems viewing the "Song of Songs",
allowing repair of the problem.
These statistics are not a regular part of the site and will disappear
shortly.
