I think we should patch glibc to reinstall the rpc headers as there
currently isn't a good enough replacement for it AFAIK. I believe that
was the main reason why 2.14 was pulled from master.

I have been running glibc 2.15 for quite some time now, but I've had
to apply a number of patches for it to be stable on my system and that
still pales in comparison to the number of patches Fedora and Arch
Linux have needed to get it stable for their users.

I think we going to have to do extensive testing and/or apply many of
these patches before it is sufficiently stable to merge into master.
