I have the possibility to propose a project for master students in my
university (the first in France that propose a master in open-source
software :-) ).

Is there something you've had in mind for a long time and you never had
the time to do ? Big sorcery feature ? Graphical ISO installer ? Maybe
graphical interface for sorcery ? SELinux true support ? Prometheus
feature ? Special architecture support ?
As this is for master students, the project must be consequent, so we
can't only ask them to fix bugs, although I would like to... ;-)

I think the two sorcery projects would be fine as long as they don't
end up required in anyway when their project is done.

Some other things I know about are:
1) fully featured versioning support in sorcery/grimoire
2) sparc support (I know sandalle has gotten closest but it's not done
by a long shot something to do with glibc which makes it interesting).
3) x86-64 multi-lib support (I know this is a sore subject but if they
could figure it out and how to make it optional that'd be cool ;).
4) parallel install of cross compiler tool-kits (ie so
/usr/bin/avr-unknown-gcc would be my avr compiler).
