It is too late for us to enter, if we have not done so already:

April 24, 2006:
- All mentoring organizations must have submitted their interest to Google
due by 08:00 Pacific Daylight Time

If we decide to do this next year, we should start planning before April 2007.

I think Rafael is right in that it will greatly enhance Source Mage's
visibility. I think if it's done incorrectly or incompletely, however, that
would be a very bad thing for us, also.

Here are the current links describing the project:

Introduction:

Mentor FAQ:
http://code.google.com/soc/mentorfaq.html
Terms of Service:
http://code.google.com/soc/tos.html
Student FAQ:
http://code.google.com/soc/studentfaq.html

In the Terms of Service, under the section Eligibility to Participate is the
sub-section Mentor Organizations, which outlines what we need to consider in
determining whether we should persue it or not.
