pcmciautils:
PCMCIAutils contains hotplug scripts and initialization tools necessary to allow
the PCMCIA subsystem to behave (almost) as every other hotpluggable bus system
(e.g. USB, IEEE1394).

Please note that the kernel support for this new feature is only present since
2.6.13-rc1. Also, you need sysfsutils 1.3.0 and module-init-tools 3.2-pre4 or
later.

These utilities are supposed to replace pcmcia-cs there isn't any userspace daemon that runs and pcmciautils and pcmcia-cs conflict with each other (don't think that's in perforce yet).

if you like pcmcia-cs you can still run it on 2.6.13 but pcmciautils won't work for anything less than 2.6.13-rc1.

Just thought I'd let everyone know there's an alternative to pcmcia-cs now ;)
