thank you for your quick answer.

I didn't try yet, I'll do it as soon as possible.

About the camera... It is a Minolta DImage 7i (a 5 MPixel camera) and it
works
perfectly under linux 2.4.20 (earlier kernel version need a little and simple
patch).

If you want more info about the camera, we can continue privately .-)
