I need someone to step up and own keeping Drupal updating on
www.sourcemage.org, or it's going to have to come down. As the guy who
owns the server I cannot allow software to be installed that isn't
maintained against this kind of vulnerability. I also don't have time or
inclination to do all the updates myself when I've got other stuff I need
to do and the actual value this app provides us right now is so limited.

Those of you want that want to keep Drupal vs. just a wiki, the option is
up to you, right now. Either one of your volunteers to keep it updated, or
not.

Well, David Kowis stepped up to buy us time and do this upgrade, but I
don't think he wants to own the thing long-term or make sure we keep it.

Nope, not so much. It is way more than we need.

Since I can't go along with running a big web app on one of my servers that
isn't maintained and no one has stepped up to maintain this I'm adding
migrating off Drupal to my list. If there aren't new major issues that
come up and force the timeline I'll first look at getting us another forum
app that does ML integration. I think integrating the forums and SM-Users
list makes the most sense to increase usage of both.

Yep, that'd be pretty sweet.

If someone really thinks we need to keep Drupal but isn't up to
volunteering to maintain it then all I can suggest is finding another place
to host it that can maintain it for you and propose that to the project as
an option. I'm more inclined to run our stuff ourselves on platforms we
can support.

Meanwhile I'd suggest that any important docs that only exist on the Drupal
site should get recreated on the wiki.

Just affirming my anti-Drupal stance. I did the one fix because I wanted to give us more time to research something useful without crippling what we've got right now.
