That wouldn't be good indeed.

However, I remember something even worse: Intermezzo, a distributed
filesystem for linux (which is already in the kernel IIRC) requires
a http server to exchange files...

That is what is "scaring" me too. I need access thru a
ms proxy (here at work), but the fact that I'd have to
mess up with my mdk webmail machine has kept me from
installing p4-web. Now it seems that I would have to
install at least APR on my laptop? I'd rather go and
try to understand mdk configuration files...

Our next meeting is on Sunday, 23 Feb 2003:

The following setup will be used for this and all future meetings with rega=
rds=20
to agenda, hopefully we can keep the meetings down in time consumption for=
=20
everyones Sunday:

1. Old items.

* General reporting:

- meeting with computer center in the Netherlands, decision next
week (was positive, so expect OK) on hosting an SMGL box for us.
- new Tome, Security and Sorcery Leads. Also several additions to
these teams.
- CVS is no longer being maintained or used. Will be put back up in
one form or another as soon as new hosting is arranged (next
week?). Currently hosting code in Perforce.
- posted updates via PL Update Reports.
- posted bug counts to sm-admin.
- sorcery tarballs updated every 6 hrs.
- masive bugzilla cleanup, fixed and resolved bugs closed (1000+
bugs).
- sm-announce list was created, posting only to Team Leads.
- many @sourcemage.org addresses arranges (or in queue).
- 4 Feb, stable sorcery realease 0.9.3.
- various teams have been busy, see objectives and log reports on:

2. Current items (items put forth in the last meeting to be discussed now):

* clear or attack sorcery stable bug lists.

* remove invoke from sorcery?

* work on bigger grimoire solution (post 1.0) - Alley_Cat.

* work on release for 0.5 (sorcery freeze before rewrite) - stable sorcery =
grimoire 9th march, iso 16th.

* wiki roadmap for 1.0.

* Sorcery, Grimoire, ISO Reports by respective Team Leads (or
representatives) with regards to release 0.5 progress... please try to
be there Team Leads, it is getting important.

3. New items (for next meetings "Current Items").

I will be leading the meeting with a more complete explanation of the above=
=20
mentioned points and room for comments. ALL new items will be taken into=20
account for the next meeting and fall under the third and last agenda item=
=20
for this meeting. These will be the starting point for the next meeting.

I will publish a sort of overview of the meeting to the sm-admin mailinglis=
t.=20
