Pleurothallid colleagues:

I am pretty sure that “Pleurothallis pregrande” or “pregrandis” is in fact the plant recently described by Eduardo-Calderon Saenz in the Lindleyana section of Orchids magazine in Nov 2012 as Stelis gargantua (syn. Crocodeilanthe gigas).  It is not part of Pleurothallis as defined by the studies of Pridgeon et al. 2001.  It is definitely not a synonym of Pleurothallis colossus.  You can check out the plant at Epidendra: http://www.epidendra.org/taxones/Stelis/Stelis%20gargantua/Pleurothallis%20gigas/index.html
