For those folks who don't have Luer's green book series, or need to
research specimens that aren't included in the series, one might want to
use the Missouri Botanical Gardens web site as a resource.

Using the browser of your choice, go to www.mobot.org. Click on "Plant
Science" in the frame on the left. Click on the link to TROPICOS on the
page that follows. This will bring up a search page. For example, one can
type in "Pleurothallis tarantula" and it will yield a screenful of
taxonomic information about the entity. If there's an image drop-down list
available, look at the pictures. In the case of P. tarantula, Dr. Luer's
diagnostic drawing is the second of the choices--the first is a photo of
the pressed type.

A lot of Dr. Luer's drawings are available here. This is a wonderful
resource that is very easy to use. MOBOT has done a wonderful job.
Support them if you can!

I bought pleurothall tarantula last year, and this year it is blooming.
