In permaculture there is no waste. materials are continuosly
recycled in ecosystems. Ideally energy systems are based on reducing
the need, then solar, wind, hydro then non fossil fuels such as
biomass. As Mr McDonough suggests, there should be two material
streams, organic materials and technological materials, and the two
should be cycled seperately
