On Nov. 10, 2011, the New School for Social Research in New York City
hosted a panel discussion about the Occupy Movement called "Occupy
Everywhere" featuring filmmaker Michael Moore, authors Naomi Klein and
William Greider, and Rinku Sen, executive director of the Applied
Research Center in Lower Manhattan, as well as Occupy Wall Street
organizer Patrick Bruner.

Extended exerpts from the panel discussion were broadcast today as a
special edition of the Democracy Now news program and is available in
streaming video and audio at:
http://www.democracynow.org/2011/11/25/occupy_everywhere_michael_moore_naomi_klein
I highly recommend you give it a listen.

There is so much substance in what was shared in this panel discussion.
My focus is on the "Occupy the Food System" aspect of the Occupy
Movement and I was inspired to hear Naomi Klein say during this panel:
"I think there has been an ecological consciousness woven into these
occupations from the start. I mean, you see that in the greywater
system, the permaculture training, the composting, the fact that the
food is coming from organic farmers. The food movement has been very
involved from the beginning."

I welcome the opportunity to become involved with others whose focus is
to re-invent the food system as we simultaneously re-invent so many
aspects of our lives in this new, world revolution.
