Anybody experienced with aquaponics out there, what is the best intensive
system you know of? This would be outdoors but sheltered, in central Florida
and we would want to create as closed loop a system as possible. I have my
ideas and experiences but wanted to get feedback on it.
Also, we're looking at value added crops for the area. It is zone 8, it does
freeze and sometimes drops as low as 15 degrees, but very hot and humid in
the summer, sandy soils but with a clay hard pan in the lowlands. We will be
bringing in organic materials from waste stream. Only freezes a few times per
year though. I'm looking at different herbs, nuts, bamboo, possibly kenaf,
polycropped wherever possible and as close looped as possible.
