Dear Friends,

If you have not already done so, please *register today to attend the First
National Ag Pollinators Forum* February 24-25, 2009 at the Hyatt Regency
Crystal City in Arlington, VA. We have an exciting lineup of speakers,
including national researchers and grower leaders, who will discuss how
native pollinators can supplement the pollination services provided by
managed bees, and in turn increase on farm productivity and profitability.
There will also be plenty of time to share your thoughts and provide input
into what steps the ag community can take to capitalize on the services
provided by native pollinators.

The Forum, hosted by the Native Pollinator in Agriculture Work Group, a
group of national agricultural leaders, will be held immediately prior to
the 85th annual Agricultural Outlook Forum, Feb. 26-27, 2009. This year's Ag
Outlook Forum, located just blocks away from the National Ag Pollinators
meeting locale in Crystal City, will include a panel session about the
worldwide dependence upon pollinators and pollination services for
sustainable agricultural production. What a great opportunity to attend both
of these important meetings!

First National Ag Pollinators program highlights include:

Discussion on the opportunities and benefits of native pollinators ;

Latest developments on colony collapse disorder;

Habitat establishment and proper pesticide use;

Grower perspectives about how pollinator protection practices have helped
their bottom line;

Projects growers can put on the ground to enhance native pollinator
populations; and

The launch of a national ag pollinator alliance

If you are a farmer or rancher, a representative of an agribusiness, a farm
organization, or academia, or an individual concerned about protecting
native pollination populations, then this seminal Forum is a must-attend
event.

The Forum program, along with registration and hotel information, can be
accessed at* www.agpollinators.org. <http://www.agpollinators.org/> The
hotel deadline to receive the special discounted room rate is February 2,
2009.*
