Has anyone spent any time on optimizing the planting of nuts by squirrels?

My thoughts so far are to rogue the older non-productive trees so that the
squirrels nest in the trees that they get the nuts and seeds from. This will
cause the nuts to be planted closer to the source trees. This will allow both
the squirrels and the nuts to be culled easier both as seed planters and seed
sources. It needs to be kept in mind that walnuts may be a poor choice as a
nesting tree and as a source of winter feed as opposed to elm trees where the
leaves are used for nests and the bark as winter feed. This would imply that
a ring of walnut trees around a nesting tree would work better for the
squirrels.
