Miekal

The original designs for permeable paving were done in Michegan- at the
University- they hold up well to freezing and thawing as long as the subgrade
preparation is good and strong, and the base of the paving is well drained
and
graded correctly. If you have a local Landscape Architect they should be
able to
show you the correct procedures for permeable paving. The same constraints
hold true for all the paving blocks- the failures are not in the material
itself
but in the subgrade. If you have a soils analysis of the subgrade I can
steer you in the right direction for a workable road base without impervious
surfaces. A geotech report would be great.
