As permaculturists, I hope we see the value of participating in all the
zones of influence, for money is clearly a tool we can use to hold
corporations accountable....

Yes investing in enlightened companies is one possible strategy such as say
a company that is investing in hydrogen technologies specically geared to
renewable energies. However as I looked at your website and saw an example
of your Omni Index of "Natural Companies" Home Depot, Johnson and Johnson,
Coca Cola, Bank America...I say no thank you. I know some people feel that
since they are going to invest in the "market" then why not SRI's as that
can help transform the world right? Well maybe but I am doubtful as all the
companies which participate in the stock market are subject to the pressures
to post short term gains and all their operating decisions are geared
accordingly. Rather as permaculturist I see investing in individual and
collective efforts to facilitate a sustainable world, this has little to do
with the stock market(aka "sold our souls). Local sustainable efforts are
best with some energies toward larger national research and development
efforts.

Hopefully someday investing in sustainable food systems and energy. No stock
markets thankyou.
