Work Exchange and Apprenticeship Opportunities at Earthaven Ecovillage,
Western NC

Earthaven School of Natural Building. Accepting applications for short and
long-term apprenticeships and work-exchange positions at Earthaven. Paul

Permaculture Plant Nursery and Homebuilding. Apprenticeships available for
2003 season or parts thereof. Participate in all aspects of nursery start-up
development and homebuilding. Offering a tenting space, food stipend, and
diverse learning opportunities with longtime permaculturist Chuck Marsh.
Looking for hardworking, motivated, savvy, self-aware folks who feel called
to create abundance during challenging times. Hours negotiable.

EarthCrafted Residential/Business Site. Help with a variety of tasks
involved in the continuing development of a business/residential site and
buildings. Tasks include brush and wood clearing, agricultural terracing,
pond construction, minor carpentry, painting, etc. On-site camping.

Benchmark Neighbors. Seeking work exchangers9Jills and Jacks of all trades
preferred9full time or to share w/other Earthaven folks from now till at
least mid-September. Some carpentry, natural building, landscaping and
gardening; water catchment and waste treatment systems; maintenance
functions of neighborhood, including outdoor kitchen facility. Up to 30
hours a week, all expenses paid; could include nice canvas yurt-like

Allison-Armstrong Homesite. Seeking ongoing help with construction and
interior finish work with commitment of from one week to several months.
Also seeking help in starting permaculture-based home garden and constructed

plastering and light construction on timber-framed, multi-family,
