I also am not familiar with Capnodis tenebrionis. What type of organism is it?
If it is some sort of larvae boring into cherry trunks, the answer is almost
certainly an effort to improve the ecosystem to increase the numbers of
parasitic wasps. Umbellifer/Apacicea family dill, fennel, cilantro, and
buckwheat might help over time. If it is some sort of fungus, then resistant
root stocks are the answer usually. To do this, find a compatible
prunus--perhaps wild-- that is resistant and graft over.
