Catching up on this...anyone out there...? ;-)
I generally agree with this (but make the "credits file" an online part
of the DB, of course):

Free edits and/or the wiki-style edit history with undo feature has
potential for all the usual human interactions we'd rather not (I
assume :-) see in the DB - flame wars, undos of the other persons undos
of your undo of their undo, that sort of stuff.

There are, alas, also folks out there who would do intentional harm by
providing false data, as someone mentioned already. I do not support
allowing that. Anything to do with health & safety of living systems
needs verification/moderation/etc. of *some* kind.

Guilds could be "extracted" in an intelligent search based on plant
characterstics, etc.

Seems to me 'hard-coding' of guild info is best placed in a different
sort of reference, unless it's as user comments on what guilds they've
tried with a particular plant.

That's it for now. Anyone still working on this? I'm still willing to
be head test curmudgeon... :-)
