There is no telling what is our food, when the ingredients state "natural flavoring". I had a classmate present a report from a Ted Talk video on food additives...quite interesting report what is the FDA approves for additional protein supplement in our processed foods. 🐝🐛🐞🐜

I have a dear friend who is a MBK (I won’t mention any names) who told me these taste a lot like creamed corn….. (Not sure if he cooked them first, though….)

Maybe they are using frames sized for Drone brood.  This would then be a way of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle for the brood.  You can provide varroa control and provide a healthy protein alternative.  And the Drones would be much nicer in size.

My son, who is in China, sent me a food photo from his dinner last night.

Yes, those are pupal bees. Fried and tossed with peppers and spices. No wonder China has to adulterate their honey with other sweeteners. There aren't enough bees left to meet the honey demand.

I know this seems like an inappropriate counterpoint to the delicious honey recipes found in Randall's earlier post, but . . .
