I saw somewhere (probably manufacturer FAQ) that entrance reducers should be removed. I had to go take all mine out after reading that.

I left the small vent in the inner cover open.

My hives are currently using reduced entrances, the larger of the two openings using a standard entrance reduce, to reduce robbing potential.  I note that due to heavier than air Thymol fumes, the instructions for Apigard suggest closing up screened bottom boards.  I plan to do that.

1. What are peoples' thoughts on retaining the entrance reducers or removing them during this more closed up process over the next month or so?

2. How about leaving the small top opening open in the standard inner/telescoping cover arrangement?

Temps are still pretty warm.

Thanks,

Brad
