My 2 cents.
My opinion, bees are on the edge, do what you can to keep them alive and let
them swarm which increases the gene pool. 12 universities are working with
bee genetics and have not come up with an answer. I have worked with pros and
hobbies and have seen super hives from both. The true test will be, can a
super hive swarm live in the wild over winter. In 10 years I have seem just
1. It survived 3 years. Bottom line the best way to improve bee genetics is
by putting more bees back into nature and let nature do its thing.
