Brad,

Red maple is the likely source. Maple pollen is sort of a dull, dusty color. Look way up in the tops of the trees and you may get a glimpse of the tiny red flowers.

I noticed a great deal of tan pollen coming in this week during the warm days.  Any guesses?  I suppose it could be from the nearby Botanical Garden if nothing else.
