That's really interesting, Lew. I've
seen my bees attack European hornets, yellow jackets, bumble bees
and of course hive beetles, but never June bugs, at least not that
I recall. Mine seem to ignore bugs and beetles outside the actual
hive, unless they are predators near the entrance.
I wonder what the June bugs did to tick off the bees? Maybe in this hot, nectar-less weather, any stranger is viewed as a potential honey-stealing threat. Randall On 7/24/2013 6:45 PM, Lew Hassell wrote:
