The laurel sulfate used in toothpaste causes irritation on my daughters gums to the point it looks like she has 2nd degree burns. As far as I'm concerned it's a non-essential ingredient and probably costs less than lethicin, much the same way cattle ranchers are using a derivitive of aspertame as a sweetener in silage and feed rather than molasses, as it's cheaper.
I strongly suggest infusing organic herbs in water to use as the base for sugar or honey syrup bee feed. For large, commercial beekeepers it's probably too much to make it yourself. However for beekeepers with smaller apiaries and hobby BK it's doable. Visit this site for the bee tea recipe. It's also a good reason to build a small herb garden. http://www.spikenardfarm.org/beekeeping_tips.html Annallys Goodwin-Landher Four years after the bees are gone, humanity is gone. Thank you for your inquiry.
Our NON-GMO product does not have SLS.
Go here for our new AD http://honeybhealthy.com/AD.jpg
Go here for more on HBH: http://www.honeybhealthy.com/HoneyBHealthy.html
See attached current label with ingredient list not
showing Sodium Laurel Sulfate.
Where did you see a NON-GMO labeled HBH with SLS on the
ingredient list? There are still some earlier HBH productions that have SLS on
the label sold by dealers.
Honey-B-Healthy is still the same product with the
Lecithin we use being tested and Certified NO-GMO along with other strict
certification required by our manufacturer who is FDA-Registered. All of the
ingredients we use are Certified.
The SLS that we did use in earlier productions was made
from Coconut Oil. I believe there is a synthetic grade used in industrial
cleaners, soaps, detergents and etc. The reason we used it was it helped
stabilize the product by helping the oils stay in suspension. Our new
FDA-Registered manufacturer uses a special high grade Lecithin that contains
enough emulsifiers for oil suspension. Therefore we no longer need the
SLS.
All of our dealers as yet do not have the SLS Free NON-GMO HBH, so check before you buy.
SLS is made from fatty alcohols
from coconut oil: Go here for more: Is SLS really that bad:

Subject: need current ingredients for HBH I was hoping Bob or someone could help me understand your "new" ingredient
list. Your new label touts "non-gmo" lecithin..thats is great!
BUT i was at a shop that had your product...it had on there that you also
put in laurel sodium sulfate!
Is that still being used in your "NEW" HBH products?? I have always used
HBH til this past spring when i found that out. That is a binding agent that
SOAP companies use...isn't it!?? IF so...how is that healthy to
bees??
I need to know as i want to buy your HBH peoduct, but i will not w/ L.S.S
in it.
thanks! Marty Hanks
