I have a small amount of comb and honey  that we scraped off the bottom of the feeders when we took them off. I'd like to separate the wax from the honey in order to use the wax in a project with my grandkids. Anyone know the best way to do this?  -Elisabeth Curtis

Chop it up in a container and put in front of a hive and let the bees clean it up for you. Also works great for cappings. When they are done you will have a yellowish saw-dust-like material. Boil this with equal volumes of water, stirring from time to time. Let cool and you will have a cake of beeswax with a little crud on the bottom. Wash off with stream of water.
