I've been getting material from GRIN for years and years. I usually
explain in a few sentences the trial that I'm doing and that I'm
independent and looking to find cultivars that are best suited for the
area I live in. I've never gotten any push back or response, tho a
couple times when I explained the particular result I was looking for,
the person who packed my order included other material that they
thought would work well for me. An amazing resource, tho a few things
like dormant hardy kiwi cuttings and fall leaf stems of elderberries
failed for me since I don't have any mist propagation set up.
