It is posible to transplant. The problem with prostrate varieties is that its
sometimes hard to get at the root zone. I would suggest you try to dig as
wide as you think you can deal with. Not deep but wide and shallow. A pancake
instead of the traditional rootball. Now would be okay but late winter before
growth starts would be even better. You might want to use an
anti-transpierent on the foliage.
