Using peat does not damage wetlands. Horticultural peat is made from the residue of dead spaghnum moss. It is easily renewable and not threatened.

I'd like to grow blueberries but I also don't want to contribute to wetlands damage by using peat if I don't have to. Are there other more sustainable ways to get an acid container soil to grow blueberries in?
