Please warn your friend that Beurre Hardy is one of the more
fireblight-susceptible pears and Bonne Louise d'Avranches (a.k.a Louise Bonne
de Jersey) is also susceptible. They won't live long in Texas. If he still
wants them, he could order them from the National Germplasm Repository...
